Welcome to the Vision2020 BFA Photography Exhibition! The artists featured here are students within the graduating class of 2020 from East Carolina University. This work exhibits years of research in various processes and approaches to navigate through conceptual ideas. Students have investigated contemporary practices in photography and developed a concept-based body of artwork. Over the last year, students have worked on a single project of their choosing. Through a series of research activities, writing exercises, demonstrations, oral presentations, and artist interviews, students have developed an understanding of creating conceptually driven work and visual literacy.
Due to the cancellation of their physical thesis exhibition because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the graduating seniors have rallied together to complete this online exhibition. Their work can also be viewed in its entirety at ecubfaphotography.com along with links to their personal websites.
