Mi-Sook Hur is an award-winning enamelist and metalsmith who is a professor in the School of Art and Design at East Carolina University, North Carolina, USA. Her work focuses on realistic images inspired by nature, and she explores the modern studies of Limoges enamels. Recently, Hur has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar grant for 2024-2025 to further research enameling in South Korea. She has exhibited nationally and internationally. Her work is included in the collections of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (Little Rock, AR); Enamel Arts Foundation (Los Angeles, CA); Crocker Art Museum (Sacramento, CA); John Michael Kohler Arts Center (Sheboygan, WI); Mint Museum (Charlotte, NC); Philadelphia Museum of Art (Philadelphia, PA); Racine Art Museum (Racine, WI); Kamm Teapot Foundation (CA); and Yale University Art Gallery (New Haven, CT).
