Advising
As an undergraduate student you will work with one of the School’s professional academic advisors. Prior to registration each semester you will meet with your advisor to discuss your degree progress, selected courses for the next semester, and any challenges or opportunities you encounter.
Through the Academic Advising Collaborative you will receive excellent support for your academic progress. The Advising Collaborative is conveniently located behind Jenkins Fine Arts Center in the Old Cafeteria building.
Contact art advisors by emailing artadvising@ecu.edu or call 252 328-6001.
In addition to professional advisors, faculty serve as mentors, guiding you through your coursework to achieve your artistic, professional, and career goals. Students oftentimes identify mentors after they have been admitted to their concentration, but it’s never too early to talk with faculty about goals and academic pathway.
The close connection between students and faculty promotes a community of creative thinkers and problem solvers who are committed to your success.
FORMS:
Students initiate the process by discussing course content, developing a syllabus, and conferring with the student’s Academic Advisor regarding how the course will be used in the student’s degree program.
