BFA ’21 Animation/Interactive Design

Bio
I am a Greenville native who has loved creating for as long as I can remember. After graduating from high school, I received my Associate of Arts degree from Pitt Community College and then transferred to East Carolina University where I have pursued my BFA with a concentration in Animation/Interactive Design.

Artist Statement
Creating has always provided me with an outlet from the world around me and the same can be said for movies and shows; I love the feel-good content, the happy endings, and the otherworldly adventures. I strive to create art that is both positive and uplifting; I want to provide my audience with a momentary escape from their lives like movies and shows have done for me. With that being said, I also know that I wanted to choose a career path I would be happy in so that it would never feel like I was actually working, and choosing animation felt right. In my field, I really enjoy the attention to detail, the time and effort it takes to create something, and the continuously increasing capabilities of technology.

At East Carolina University, I was given the opportunity to experience all aspects of the animation pipeline, but 3D modeling was my favorite part of the production process.
