Nikolas McKeever
BFA ’20 Illustration
Nikolas McKeever is a freelance illustrator from South Plainfield, NJ who currently resides in North Carolina. He is working towards a BFA in Illustration from East Carolina University and is set to graduate in the fall of 2020. In his illustration work, Nikolas often features imagery of creatures and environments while channeling elements bordering between fanciful and eerie. His work has been featured in multiple local exhibitions and has received an Award of Merit in Illustration and the Wellington B. Gray Award of Excellence.
Artist Statement
Ever since I was young, I’ve always been fascinated with earth’s creatures and storytelling. It is with art that I am able to combine these two passions, creating scenes, characters, and stories that bring out those truly interesting aspects of life. For over 5 years, I’ve loved and learned from the process involved in every illustration, and I’m always looking forward to the next project!
