Federal Work Study Positions

These positions require authorization for Fall 2025 for Federal Work Study.

Main Office Staff
Office hours for the School of Art and Design (in Jenkins Fine Arts Center) are 8 am to 5 pm. Students must be able to work more than one half-day shift to work in the Main Office.

Film Area Equipment Assistants
This position supports the film program by managing the checking out/in of film equipment, including maintaining inventory and checking equipment for any repairs needed.

Gray Gallery Assistants
This position supports the School of Art and Design’s Gray Gallery by serving as front desk staff to monitor the gallery, assisting with art work installation/deinstallation, working with collections, and assisting with reception opening. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm.

Ceramics Assistants
This position supports the ceramics program by helping maintain the facilities and equipment.

Graphic Design Area Assistants
This position supports the graphic design program by helping maintain the facilities and equipment.

Metals Assistants
This position supports the metal design program by monitoring metals open lab hours and helping maintain the facilities and equipment.

Photography Lab Assistants
This position supports the photography program by helping maintain the facilities and equipment.

Printmaking Studio Assistants
This position supports the printmaking program by helping maintain the facilities and equipment.

3D/Sculpture Studio Assistants
This position supports the sculpture program by helping maintain the facilities and equipment.

Textiles Studio Assistants
This position supports the textiles program by helping maintain the facilities and equipment.

Student Employment Positions

Figure Drawing Models
Figure models pose nude for figure drawing classes to support drawing students’ learning. Must be able to hold a pose for a long duration.

Illustration Models
Figure models pose for illustration classes to support drawing students’ learning. Must be able to hold a pose for a long duration.

Student Ambassadors
SoAD Student Ambassadors assist with social media documentation, provide tours to prospective students and their families, and represent the School during open houses, receptions, and other events.
