The Friends of the School of Art and Design seeks artists who are willing to donate pots/planters to be sold at the Potted with Purpose fundraiser on May 30, 2024 at Plant and See Nursery. All proceeds from the event will support students in the School of Art and Design through scholarships and by providing art supplies. Please consider supporting ECU’s School of Art and Design students! Over 40% of the School’s undergraduate students have significant financial need. Your donated artwork will help support students.

This call is open to any maker who wishes to contribute and support the arts, adult or child. Artists can donate a planter of any size that is made from scratch or any pre-made planter that is decorated by the artist.

We will take as many pots as you wish to donate! Be aware that pots should not be valued at more than $50. While you may suggest a price, the Friends will price the work for the sale. All work donated for the fundraiser becomes the property of ECU for the purpose of fundraising to support the School of Art and Design. Any unsold work remains the property of ECU for future sale or fundraising purposes.

This fundraiser does not insure work. The Friends of the School of Art and Design are not responsibility for any work that is unidentifiable due to improper labeling. Artists release the School of Art and Design and East Carolina University from any liability.

All pots must be delivered to Jenkins Fine Arts Center between April 1 and May 1, 2024. Work should be delivered to the Main Office (room 2000) between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
