Michael Tierno earned his MFA in Film and Media Production at City College of New York. He is a writer/director of feature films. Auditions, his first film, premiered at the Tribeca Film Center’s First Look Film series and led to a development job at Miramax where he worked as a story analyst. He is author of Aristotle’s Poetics for Screenwriters (Hyperion). His second film Nocturne, premiered at the Breckenridge Film Festival and won an award at the Park City Film Music Festival. Other screenplays include Exterior Night and Near Life Experience, both finalists in the Sundance Screenwriter’s Lab and At the End of the Day a finalist in the Nicholl Fellowship Awards (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences).
