The #merging#nightdrives series is an evolution from an original iPhone photo series begun in 2014. On a road trip, I used an iPhone camera along with Instagram and its multiple filters to capture nighttime landscapes from a moving vehicle. These landscapes of motion, light, and pixel distortion are reflective of social media culture which embraces a hyperreality, a fusion of the virtual and physical worlds.
