I consider myself a folk potter and artist, making both utilitarian and non utilitarian wares that bring aesthetics into our daily lives. I do not take myself seriously; rather I am serious about my work and the evolution of that work.

Overall, my approach to clay and creativity is to have fun and liking what I do, no pretense, nothing overly deep or philosophical, or introspective. I hope people who use my work in their daily lives get a sense of joy from that use, whether they are handling it, trying to decide which mug to use for tea or simply enjoying the space their piece occupies.
