School of Art and Design Alumni Exhibition 2021
My works pull inspiration from floral and architectural forms, blending the natural and constructed. Taking fragments from life moments and distilling the essence of these moments to evoke feelings in the viewer, the works stimulate personal associations with objects and environments that spark memories and emotions. I seek for people who view or wear my works to have a memory relationship with the works, as I do.
The references for my works, while taken from specific moments in my life are utilized in an ambiguous manner. That leaf is from a tree in the center of the city of Bucharest, but for you it could be the tree from your grandmother’s yard. Both evoke memories and emotions.
