Spacewoman of the Underground is an interactive performance that celebrates the human urge to explore while interrogating the instinct to escape. To examine this connection between exploration and escapism, astronaut and explorer Christine Zuercher digs a hole to the other side of the planet at Harvard University. Viewers were invited to investigate her findings and tune into the radio transmissions to experience voices of the unknown and reflect on the positive and negative ramifications of exploration and scientific advancement as it relates to the human connection.
