In looking back to my art experiences at East Carolina I have always been inspired and impacted by abstract works of art and today I paint almost exclusively abstract acrylics. My paintings are a process that typically starts with color. Each stroke informs the next mark or color. I create layers from emotion and my feelings of the moment. Marks, sgraffito, calligraphy and pops of color complete the process for me.
