Amanda Love
Graduated 1996

Amanda Love was born in Columbia SC and spent her formative years between Columbia SC and Frederick MD. She earned a BFA in Communication Arts (graphic design and photography) from East Carolina University and an MFA in Interdiscinplinary Arts (fine book binding, letterpress printing and papermaking) from Columbia College Chicago. Love is a recognized artist/designer. In two decades in Chicago she regularly exhibited sculpture and artist books, collaborated with artist/musicians on numerous creative projects, founded two creative businesses in Chicago: LoveLeaf Press, design firm, fine binding and letterpress studio, and BookClub Chicago, a community arts studio with programing inspired by literature. Additionally, Love was contributing on numerous Fine Arts, Literacy and French cultural boards in Chicago. Today, Love has relocated to a new home and studio in Granville, Ohio. Love recently completed a year long artist residency at Dawes Arboretum. She is exhibiting work nationally and is represented by Hammond Harkins Galleries. Love is actively creating new work in her studio and is involved leading a community tree planting initiative. She continues her interdisciplinary and installation work using a variety of mediums.
