Since my time at ECU, I have continued to paint. It was a safe harbor during my years in the corporate world and a creative vehicle during the years that I had less time to explore new subjects. The art school experience at ECU inspired creativity, discipline, and a sense of fearlessness that I have carried with me and applied to other aspects of my life. How amazing to have had all of that time to myself to create! Participation in this show motivated me to paint a scene from Eastern NC and allowed me to reminisce about the long days and nights spent experimenting and creating.
